What I Ate Today, Vegan BBQ Sandwich

While I'm working from home and emailing grocery buyers about how delicious Shroomeats is, my tummy starts to growl as lunchtime rolls around. What delicious creation to make today?

It's lunchtime, and I'm taking a break from my work-at-home desk to indulge in my latest culinary creation: a vegan BBQ sandwich using Shroomeats Mushroom Shred-It. I'm excited to dig in and enjoy the smoky, savory flavor of this tasty sandwich.


I start by toasting a sesame bun, giving it a nice crunch that will complement the chewy texture of the Shroomeats Mushroom Shred-It. As the bun toasts, I slice some white onions.


Next, in a heated pan with oil I sauté the onions and Shroomeats Mushroom Shred-It, which has the texture of ground meat without any of the animal. I add in my favorite barbecue sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes. Once it's heated I pile the BBQ Mushroom Shred-It high onto the toasted bun, followed by a generous drizzle of BBQ sauce. 


As I take my first bite, I'm immediately hit with the smoky flavor of the  BBQ sauce and savor the texture of Shroomeats. This sandwich even more satisfying then I envisioned it to be. 


I'm impressed how delicious and easy it was to make this healthy sandwich. Not only does it taste amazing, but it's vegan and packed with nutrients! I can't wait to make it again, it was sooooo good! OMG. I definitely had that "Good Food Mood" after eating this sandwich.
