I know you're not supposed to play with your food, but for this recipe, it's encouraged!
Use Mushroom Shred-It to make a brainy mess in these bell peppers. You'll have fun making and eating them!
Servings: 2-3
Prep Time: 10-15 minutes
Cook Time: 20-30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 box Shroomeats Mushroom Shred-It
1 box Spaghetti pasta
1 jar spaghetti sauce
4 big bell peppers; either orange, red or yellow
2 x 2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- The fun part! Prep the bell peppers; cut off the top, gut it, and with a small knife cut out a face as you would a Jack-O-Latern. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Heat a skillet on medium, add olive oil and add Mushroom Shred-It to saute for 4-5 minutes or until browned. Then add spaghetti sauce and salt and pepper, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- Boil a pot of water and make the spaghetti per the package instructions. When done, drain the water and add to the sauce and mix well.
- Add the spaghetti inside the bell peppers, put the top on, and drizzle olive oil on top. Put filled peppers onto a baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and you’re ready to serve.
