Halloween Stuffed Bell Peppers with Mushroom Shred-It

I know you're not supposed to play with your food, but for this recipe, it's encouraged!

Use Mushroom Shred-It to make a brainy mess in these bell peppers. You'll have fun making and eating them!

 

 

Servings: 2-3

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes

Cook Time: 20-30 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 box Shroomeats Mushroom Shred-It 

1 box Spaghetti pasta 

1 jar spaghetti sauce 

4 big bell peppers; either orange, red or yellow

2 x 2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste



Instructions:

  1. The fun part! Prep the bell peppers; cut off the top, gut it, and with a small knife cut out a face as you would a Jack-O-Latern. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Heat a skillet on medium, add olive oil and add Mushroom Shred-It to saute for 4-5 minutes or until browned. Then add spaghetti sauce and salt and pepper, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Boil a pot of water and make the spaghetti per the package instructions. When done, drain the water and add to the sauce and mix well.
  4. Add the spaghetti inside the bell peppers, put the top on, and drizzle olive oil on top. Put filled peppers onto a baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and you’re ready to serve.
