Asian Fusion Burger with Mushroom Patties

Cook time: 10 minutes

What you need:

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Shroomeats Mushroom Patties

  • 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1-2 tbsp cooking oil

  • 2 burger buns

  • 3-4 pieces thinly sliced cucumber


Secret Sauce Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Sriracha

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar


Slaw Ingredients:

  • 1 cup purple cabbage, finely sliced

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • ¾ tbsp sesame oil

  • ½ tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds


Let's get started:

For the Slaw:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds. Whisk to combine.

  2. Add sliced cabbage and toss to evenly coat with the sauce.

  3. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour, tossing occasionally to coat the cabbage.


For the Secret Sauce:

  1. Mix mayonnaise, Sriracha, and rice vinegar well in a small bowl. Set aside.


For the Burger:

  1. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Add Mushroom Patties to the pan and heat for 4-5 minutes, drizzling with teriyaki sauce. Flip and repeat on the other side.

  3. Remove patties from the pan and set aside.

  4. Place buns face down in the pan and toast until golden brown. Remove from the pan and prepare to plate.

  5. Spread 1 tbsp of secret sauce inside each bun.

  6. Layer slaw first, then a mushroom patty, followed by sliced cucumber.

  7. Add the top bun and enjoy!
